Letters for April 29

Value diversity

I live in one of College Station's "historic neighborhoods" and am very concerned about the future of that neighborhood.

There are two candidates for city council who seem to understand my concerns. Dennis Maloney and John Crompton value the diversity, uniqueness and sense of history that those older neighborhoods contribute to the city.

Some of the other candidates for council make me feel like my concerns and my neighborhood are not important. Granted, this is just one issue in this campaign, but it is the one that I am basing my vote on.

If you feel like I do, I urge you to vote for Dennis Maloney and John Crompton for city council.

KATHERINE EDWARDS

College Station
